Originally by: fire 59 Just wanted to pop my head in and lol at the goons talking about others hiding behind people to stay alive.
The topic at hand is not someone staying behind someone else to stay alive. The topic at hand is someone who:
1. Have served as a frontline shield for BoB 2. Have taken huge losses in their Esoteria constellation and in IAC space (not their war), including multiple capitals and a mothership. 3. Have have paid rent for the privilege.
Are rewarded with
1. Little to no help on the frontline 2. An order to relocate, supported by casual efforts only, losing freighters. 3. Stuffed in crowded, half-decent space roamed by multiple hostiles, no BoB defense whatsoever.
And finally, on BoB's usually irrational whim, are told to gtfo.
Molle is probably stroking his loused beard and praising himself for being such a decisive tyrant but he only alienates the remaining allies further. Maybe ISS was more trouble than help in combat, but everyone can see the horrible treatment they've received and they can know that every ship loss they take on BoB's behalf, frigate or dread, every hour of effort in your service, in offense or defense will all go completely and utterly unrewarded in the long term.
Your misguided sense of pride makes you reluctant to admit that you need allies. The latest BoB actions will prove to your allies that they don't need you. When you finally collapse as an alliance you will easily be able to blame bandwagons and blobs as there will be noone left beside you. ------ [SILD] |

Exactly nothing to do with being asked not to, having other people lined up to do it and general nuisance caused. As I said in the other thread by mitts, if KOS towered up 9-9 ( and then saying its okay we have sov in 6 days) after being told not to would you be ****ed?
Isn't 9-9 a goon system? Did ISS tower up a BoB sov system? Or is your analogy simply dumb? I'm pretty sure goons would be happy with KOS trying to tower up a system with hostile sov. Helping out against hostiles is something that is usually rewarded, but with BoB it is quite different. I can't imagine how many billions ISS have lost ever since they moved into Esoteria. ------ [SILD] |

Edited by: Qu''ut Nez on 24/11/2007 19:21:55 ISS, you have to admit that in the larger picture your contributions aren't very heavy. But you still have held up your end of the deal. BoB has given you the finger for no good reason. It's likely they have a good motive yet to be hinted at, it's more likely that it's the old grumpy fetish tyrant who wants to act brash and appear decisive and tyrant-e to his fellating minions.
It's a clear message to every other alliance with positive standings to BoB. The very second that the center of gravity of cooperation commitments tilts to your side, BoB will autopilot a hauler through your space (in-game historic analogies yay) and look for an excuse to shove you off. LV saw this (not including the backstabbing leaders who jumped ship), the relocated residents of Feyth/Eso/PS saw this, MC has certainly seen it, one can only wonder whose turn it is next.
You know the chestbeating about honour, pride, duty, commitment, teamwork, long term planning and so on? It is cute roleplaying at best, but more like cold lies mixed with irrationality and severe tyrant fetish syndrome. When it finally collapses, the excuses will be about internal disagreements, "pos warfare isn't fun" or blobbing. Those will all be true to a certain extent, but the utter disregard and total disrespect for friendly acts is what brought it all down, titan nerf or no. ------ [SILD] |

I suppose they could hire MC to spam up the system, evac the station then pull out. But if it ever falls to you-know-who, ISS is going to have to rely on jump clones and firesales. They know the drill by now. ------ [SILD] |

PeaceKeeper that is a very sad story. There are many more like you, some with billions in assets locked away. Hopefully you can roll with the punches and get back into the groove. Perhaps even inspire other ISSers to keep going, share more stories you other guys! ------ [SILD] |

Wow, ISS crawls back? Talk about abused spouse syndrome. Maybe the other pets will believe you if you just say you walked into a door, but we all know you should be shifting your stuff over to the NPC stations. BoB loves you, they just get so angry when they're drunk. They don't mean it. ------ [SILD] |
